Meet Dale
A conservation officer, an adventure guide, an emergency nurse practitioner, a mother, a farmer, and now, a children's author. Every chapter of Dale's life has been filled with animals, wild places, and the people she's cared for along the way. Here's how they all led to the page.

DALE AT POINT TO POINT FARM
A lifetime of stories
Dale's earliest memories are filled with stories and animals—listening to her grandfather read Cinnabar at bedtime while horses grazed outside the farmhouse window, coming home as a little girl with a kitten tucked under each arm, or giving a home to the neighbor's unwanted pet gerbil. Together, they helped lay the foundation for a lifelong love of books, animals, and the natural world.
Years later, reading to her own children became a sacred and treasured part of motherhood, giving her the chance to pass along that same love of storytelling. Along the way, life took her in unexpected directions: living in Africa as a Rotary exchange student, working in wildlife conservation with the New York Zoological Society, exploring wild places as an adventure travel guide, becoming only the third female conservation officer for the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, and ultimately finding her calling as an emergency nurse practitioner.
Through a life of adventure, change, caring, and conservation, Point to Point Farm has remained a grounding force—a family farm devoted to wildlife, conservation, education, and refuge.
Today, Dale lives and writes on the farm, where animals, family, and the natural world remain part of everyday life. After a lifetime filled with stories, she is finally putting some of them on paper—writing children's books rooted in the things she has always believed matter most: kindness, courage, compassion, and a sense of wonder.
